Captain Bob Priest of Charters with Captain Bob reports from Lake Erie:
4-28-09
Two clients and I had 10 nice Small Mouth on Friday around Kellys Island despite the windy and muddy water conditions. Biggest of the day was just over 5 lbs. and three others were over 4 lbs. Fished again on Sunday and two of us boated 12 with our best 10 weighting 38lbs. Almost got that 4 lb. average! The season for keeping bass in Ohio is about to close but catch, click a picture, and release is still permitted. Can also do the same in Michigan water. It is a great time for a combination Walleye/ Small Mouth trip out of Bolles. Do not have to travel far for some great acion. Got Wed. this week open and all of the week of May 4th available.
Captain Bob Priest of Charters with Captain Bob reports from the Detroit River:
Spent about 6 hours on the Detroit River on Friday 3-20-09. Cold day! Water between 38 and forty degrees. Saw one other boat get one walleye just one. But it was a good one. 30 1/2" and 10lbs 8 oz. Will be fishing the Detroit River and Lake Erie area this coming week.
Captain Ron Dubsky of Ice Breaker Too Charters reports from Bolles Harbor: 9-18-08
With this cold front that is here the fishing has really improved and the Perch are even closer to the harbor. E-buoy is a hot spot with C and Walleye alley giving good numbers of Perch. Jumbos are still in the deeper water around the Light house and shipping channel.
Take a kid out this weekend and be careful.
Captain John Giszczak of Stray Cay Charters reports from Luna Pier:
9-18-09 I'm still getting - em around the turn-a-round, the perch
fishing's been good despite the weather. 2 miles north has been very
productive too. I've also been to C can and between the islands in the
04's- very good for perch - it's a hike but worth it!!!!!!!!!!
9-09-2008 Captain Ron Dubsky of Ice Breaker Too Charters reports from Bolles Harbor:
Limit Perch are being caught near the Raison River and all of the Buoy’s in the basin. Jumbos have been seen near the Toledo light house and along the Ohio shipping channel. This same report is still working and they are still there.

Captain Ron Dubsky of Ice Breaker Too Charters reports from Bolles Harbor: 8-28-08
Perch trip today and we had a bad East wind and a lot of muddy water in Michigan. Located some nice Perch East of sputnik. Walleye a few and far between so we are puting the Walleye gear away for the season. We need a wind shift for the Perch to start biting in Michigan waters. Watch your weather report for this holiday weekend and be safe out there.

Captain Ron Dubsky of Ice Breaker Too Charters reports from Bolles Harbor:
Still working Ohio waters near Sputnik. We took 17 good Walleye the other day. A fast troll with the spoons and dipseys are working best. We are in 23 to 26 feet with the eyes being near the bottom.
No report from the drifters but nice Perch are being caught by the marker buoy's E, C, in 8 to 15 feet of water. Nice jumbos at the Ohio shipping channel.

Captain Ron Dubsky of Ice Breaker Too Charters reports from Bolles Harbor:
We have been working in Ohio waters NE OF SPUTNIK WITH SOME NICE CATCHES. The Michigan marker buoys are producing a few fish but the majorities are coming out of Ohio deep. Spoons are still the bait of choice with trolling speed a little faster than normal.
No major report on Perch, though a few jumbos are being caught near the Toledo Light House and the main shipping channel.
